I mix mp3s and cds, not vinyl :( too expensive. I like the drum 'n' bass and breakbeat sound, also nu jazz influences, and some good old electronica/trance stuff too.
I use Mixmeister Fusion and Fruity Loops Studio 7 (just for beats, usually). If you've got any recommendations about cheap MIDI controllers, send me a message. :D
