Originally from Mexico and currently residing in New York City» More.., Mario Alejandro Martinez, also aka DJ Alex M has always had a deep passion for music and feels the need to share it because it brings people together.

Many of his sets have made their way to DJMix.net's "top mixes" on various occasions and have also received radio airplay from Danceradio.gr, Stream-FM and now he brings us his second offering on Proton Radio. Alex was even given the opportunity to mix ProgCast 091 for Progressivehouse.com, and was also featured on DJ Korruptor's (Gareth Noyce) wildly popular RK2 podcast.

He is especially known for his genre-shifting and unorthodox mixing style; fusing progressive, tech-house, electro, minimal and breaks into his sets. While collaborating on a duo mix with DJ Highlife (James High) for his weekly show on Stream-FM.com known as Central Control he asked Alex M to take over the show for a few months while being deployed overseas. Since taking over the show, he has featured top DJs such as Anil Chawla, Dave Robertson and Chris Fortier. Alex will continue to play many venues and start producing tracks by early 2009.
