DJ Thanujika a.k.a TGK is a Leading DJ icon in Sri Lankan Music Culture and DJ industry. He’s Leading Club DJ and Perform Stage acts with Hip-hop Artists. With His Large Collection of Dance Tracks which is updated every weekend for his Club gigs, he plays hottest Mainstream dance tunes for his crowds. He is a main DJ for Sri Lanka’s hip-hop maestro Iraj and the Ill-Noise Crew. He main styles are Hip-Hop and House music. TGK influenced DJ’s Like David Morales, Roger Sanchez and Jazzy Jeff.

At the beginning He started his DJ Career as mobile DJ for Cool Tempo Entertainers under Kamesh Malvenna. His Main role as a mobile DJ, Playing commercial dance music at private events and Supervising Sound set up gained remarkable experience in Mobile DJ industry. Started Cub DJing from the Oldest and the Symbolic Icon of Colombo city Grand Oriental Hotel, Club Blue Leopard He entered the club music culture in 2003. Was in charge of all in-club entertainment acts and Maintained audio system on the club premises. In addition to that Aided in building club membership base via patron-DJ interaction with Resident DJ Manju. In year 2005 He joined the premier Lounge bars in Sri Lanka, Glow and Tantra. This the first Lounge/Bar in Sri Lanka to use modern Digital Vinyl system (RANE/Serato ScratchLIVE) which is installed by DJ Thanujika. He plays eight hour shifts between both bars on weekend nights and Rated ‘Most Wanted DJ - 2006’ by a Colombonightlife (CNL) poll and played CNL Night with DJ Nihal (BBC Radio Asian Channel) in End 2005. He moved to Taj Samudra Hotel's Discotheque Club Nuovo (www.clubnuovo.com) in 2006 (Formerly Onyx) as the resident DJ. Managing daily DJ roster for the club and playing alongside with international DJ acts such DJ Omi (NY) and Hed-Kandi DJ's. He called up by Sri Lanka Hip-hop Super Star Iraj in 2006 and performs live acts with Ill Nozie Crew (www.irajonlive.com) . the special Events apart from Club gigs he performed includes # Party 31 NYE 2005/2006 – Mount Lavinia Hotel Private Beach # Party 31 NYE 2006/2007 – Galle Face Hotel # Millennium Information Technologies Annual Business Party,2007, Rock Café, Bangkok # Iraj Show, November 2007, Derana TV # Fashion TV Party 31 NYE 2007/2008 (with Hed Kandi), Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo # 60th Sri Lankan Independence Celebration, February 2008, Al Sawadi Resort, Oman # Mr. DJ, March 2008, Channel C # Derana Music Video Awards 2007 – Live performance with Iraj # ‘Iraj Presents Shani’ Album Launch, April 2008, Television Maldives Studios (TVM) .

In The Year 2004 , He introduced the modern Digital Vinyl simulation Master piece Rane/Serato Scratch LIVE to Sri Lanka. This system controls digital music files with existing DJ setups such as Turntables or CD players. Since he's enthusiast in Vinyl, He style remains same and the more accurate performance can be given through this system. He always believes that the Art of Djing is with Turntables and Records. He educates and provides demonstrations about this system to DJs who are interested and really want to enhance the level of DJing in Sri Lanka. Presently He conducts Digital DJ Lessons at The Dj Academy (http://thedjacademy.net), which is the First DJ Focused Education/Learning Institute in Sri Lanka Founded by DJ Tareeq and The Hit Factory (http://www.hitfactory.biz), Which is founded by Sri Lanka's Most wanted Music Producer Ranga Dassanayeka. His Future Goals are to uplift the DJ industry by providing support to upcoming DJs about the DJ culture/ trends and perform International DJ acts. DJ Thanujika who has over 15 years of experience in the industry has now conducting DJ workshops and Playing Club Sets to his fans in Sri Lanka.
