I started collecting cd's from the sixties and the seventies at the age of 16. I started with things like Pink Floyd, Zappa, Captain Beefheart and so on and I realised by the age of 20 that I had too many cd's. So I had to do something with them. So I became DJ. A friend of mine thaught me all the things I needed to know. I played on my own 21st anniversary party together with Mr. Kite. We played Flower Power (sixties and seventies). I still play Sixties and Seventies under the name Yellow Galactic Sun. I even played on a Woodstock revival in Germany thanks to a friend (Mr. Kite) who was playing there most of the time.
But then something happened with me later that year. I became more and more interested in the more chilly things from the great era of the hippies and the freaks. I was also widely familiar with the Goa scene. There I picked up some nice chill out vibes from a friend (DJ Kaleido). Then in 2005 I was asked to play flower power on a Back To Basics Party. I turned out to be playing there all night and I played lots of chill too. I even got some great comments on my chill-out set. Since then I'm buying lots of Chill Out from all times and try to play more at parties. Of course I don't always have time to play because of my studies but ask me and I will try to do it...
