A 12-year veteran of the decks hailing from Newfoundland, Canada, Kaptain K has been rocking the underground with progressive, tribal, electro, and tech house beats since the days of semi-legal parties and the first heated debates of turntables vs CDJs. K’s adventurous spirit has since led him to Seoul, South Korea, where he is now a regular on the virtually exploding club scene. He along with two other expat DJ talents, C-Deuce and DLX, have also founded Twisted Productions, whose well-known monthly parties are already becoming the stuff of legend. Having hit all the major cities in South Korea as well as playing alongside internationals faves such as Infusion, George Acosta, Above and Beyond, Big League Chu, Dr. Shingo (from Womb, Tokyo) and Toronto’s own rave legend, DJ SOS, Kaptain K is obviously no stranger to the high profile events. K is most recently digging deeply into the crafty and creative Fidget House, Dirty Electro, and Tech House sounds that define his DJ sets as powerful, energetic, and completely bumpin’ and bangin’. With independent productions looming on the horizon and the eyes on the prize, Kaptain K is certainly one hero of the decks that you’ll be seeing more of very soon.
