KaY TeK
(Kalim Hachem) was born and raised in Beirut City in Dec of 1985. Throughout his entire childhood music was always his biggest interest. He was always infatuated by the different world and environment that music was able to make for itself. His passion for electronic music started at the age of 17 when he first heard “Nothing But You” at Paul Van Dyke’s rave on Beirut’s shores.
From that inspirational experience his enthusiasm about this music started and only grew stronger and deeper. Moving from trance to tech and minimal he found himself fitting the most in the underground scene where Frangellico and Moshic were a great influence on him and his style of music. Ever since he has been hooked to Progressive and Deep House.
In 2008 he started making his own sets in this genre of music, and uploading them onto the web. These sets got him great feedback from listeners and fans that were impressed by his mixes and loved his style of playing. This also got him connections which made it possible for his sets to be broadcasted on radio stations around the world. His love and dedication for this music and the great effort he puts into mixing demonstrates that he will undoubtedly become a successful DJ and producer in the very near future.
