I remember the last few days of good hip-hop! It was just around the time the internet bubble started, and just like the bubble, it seems that good hip-hop music is resigned to being history. It was at the Electronica Music Festival at the turn of the century that I got to witness Paul Oakenfold's masterfull mixing. I was with some people putting together the event and was lucky enough to witness this up close and personal. It was the day hip-hop died for me. That day on, I have lived, breathed, and ate house music. There is nothing better than hearing a match of two beats run together and transform into the next wave of sound. With this as my inspiration I bring you Constant Progression as my first mix. Nearly a decade in the making, I hope this to be one of many that move you; and most importantly, make you dance!
