Growing up in the north suburbs of Chicago, Matt was introduced early to the underground sounds coming from the city. His early influnces were DJ's like Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox, Digweed and others like them. While in high school he began going to all night warehouse parties on the city's southside. Very quickly he began to produce his own tracks and had a strong desire to make music his profession. After high school he went to Full Sail in Orlando Florida were he recieved his Associate of Science degree in recording arts and became Pro Tools certified. Upon graduating in 2003 he moved back to Chicago ready to put what he learned to use. After a 4 month intership working at R. Kelly's studio The Chocolate factory, Matt landed his first real engineering Job at Slang Music Group, where he worked on many projects including remix work for some of the recording industries top acts. In 2006 he got a job as Cheif Enginner at The Lab Recording Studios. While at The Lab he worked for almost every local rapper in the city. Also while at The Lab he threw many dance parties there and brought in talent from around the country to play. Through out the years Matt has grown beyond the cheesy sound of trance and is interested in more unique sounds. His main influnces now are Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Someone Else, Apendics Shuffle, John Tejada, Richard Divine, Lusine and others pushing the envelope of music and sound design. Now working as a freelance engineer/producer, remixer and DJ Matt is ready to make his own mark on the city that gave birth to House.
