I have been involved in music all my life, starting with the violin when I was six years old. Even as a kid I loved to play folk music with others as well as my classical tuition. I picked up the Viola when I was 13 and that soon took centre stage.
And then came the part when at age 16 I left home and musical activities ceased. It wasn't until a year later in 2004 that I discovered that which would turn out to be my new passion - the turntables!
I first learned how to mix with Hard house but that was relatively shortlived. I gave mixing a rest for a while until one morning in front of the tent of the Manchester based soundsystem Stumblefunk I heard some filthy sounds that kickstarted the beggining of my ever-growing breakbeat Vinyl collection.
Six months down the line I started to become interested in other types of dance music... especially electro, click and tech house.
Now I'm the proud owner of an extremely varied vinyl collection, as I dont like to be bound to any particular genre. If asked to describe my music I would do so in a couple of words: Bass.filth.imagination .
I am a resident of Joy.pad which after a long break has started up again at the new venue of Pickwicks. The night is bi-weekly powered by the r:evolve soundsystem which also has its own night at the same venue
