s007ii - dj subRoutine keeps an open mind to all types of music. His influences range from a wide variety of familiar Classical composers to modern and classic Rock. In his early years he was deeply into the Pioneers of Punk, Heavy Metal, Underground Hardcore, and Industrial. As he developed a taste for EDM later on, he combined all those early styles and influences into the signature dark and atmospheric sound he likes to generate in his mixes today. Where tribal is at the core, he fuses together Progressive elements with House, Tech, Techno, Electro, Trance and Minimal carefully orchestrated right down to the last detail in a dynamic, seamless stream.
To date, subRoutine has had 3 featured podcasts on ProgressiveHouse.com, a featured set on Stellar Music Digital Podcast, a guest spot on Danceradio.gr for Polytechnic Recordings Audiophonic Show, was a featured guest on DJ Kira's The Genre Show for friskyRadio, a regular featured guest on Shamanah's FEELAbleton for friskyRadio, a featured guest twice on Kev Obrien's "DJMix.net Presents..." show for Protonradio, was an adhoc resident for the now defunct Stream-FM, and featured on DI.FM's Tribal Channel stream. You can also find him as a resident on the very popular RK2 Podcast (Radio Korruptor), 1mix.co.uk (1MixRadio) & Underground-radio.net.
I'm from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and now living in Vancouver, British Columbia.
I see and hear music. Each track has mood, substance and character and is blended together like brush strokes on a canvas. Soundscapes can be literal or abstract, infinite or finite; either way music takes on a physical form and speaks to me in many different ways.
I've had extensive musical training in college a few years back at the Trebas Institute for the Recording Arts in Toronto and learned to play live using a pair of Pioneer CDJ-1000's with an Allen & Heath Xone mixer.
Some of my DJ Toys:

Ableton Live 7.0+
