s007ii - dj subRoutine keeps an open mind to all types of music. His influences range from a wide variety of familiar Classical composers to modern and classic Rock. In his early years he was deeply into the Pioneers of Punk, Heavy Metal, Underground Hardcore, and Industrial. As he developed a taste for EDM later on, he combined all those early styles and influences into the signature dark and atmospheric sound he likes to generate in his mixes today. Where tribal is at the core, he fuses together Progressive elements with House, Tech, Techno, Electro, Trance and Minimal in a dynamic, seamless stream.
To date, subRoutine has been featured on Stream-FM numerous times, has had two featured podcasts on ProgressiveHouse.com, another featured set on Stellar Music Digital Podcast, Jack2It (DRM Radio), Danceradio.gr, is a regular on RK2 podcast (Radio Korruptor), was a featured guest on DJ Kira's Genre Show and Shamanah's FEELAbleton on friskyRadio, and also has had a show on Protonradio.com.
I'm from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and now living in Vancouver, British Columbia.
A mix should be a bit trippy, a little innovative, sometimes experimental, but ultimately fun to listen. I strive to make each one as entertaining as possible.
I've had extensive musical training in college a few years back at the Trebas Institute for the Recording Arts in Toronto and learned to play live using a pair of Pioneer CDJ-1000's with an Allen & Heath Xone mixer under the careful guidance of Canada's top turntablist: DJ Lee - TheVinylKiller (Toronto) and DJ Leanne - GirlonWax (Vancouver).
